Marshmallow PEEPS Won't Be Available for Halloween 2020
Sep 8th 2020
2020 will go down in the history books as the year we became experts in social distancing, learned that take-out and pizza delivery could be “contact-less,” had more visits to our front doors from the UPS driver than our closest friends, and worst yet…. was the year without Halloween PEEPS.
Yes, you heard that right friends. Halloween 2020 will be PEEP-less. Just Born, the company that makes the world’s favorite marshmallow treat was unable to produce this years batch of Halloween themed PEEPS candy that usually includes marshmallow pumpkins, ghosts, and cats.
We knew Halloween would look a little different this year, but we never thought our favorite fluffy treat would ghost us.
Oh 2021, please come quick!
So while PEEPS won’t be available this year, some of your traditional Halloween Candy favorites are still here ready for you to hand out to all the little ghosts and goblins who will be out for trick-or-treat.
If you’re looking for some unique treats to hand out, may be recommend:
KitKat Witches Brew
Your favorite chocolate covered cookie treat gets a spooky makeover for Halloween! While you treat your visitors with this unique treat, the ones who didn’t visit your house will be “green” with envy they didn’t stop by to get this green chocolate KitKat.
Oreo Spooky Head Eggs
Who doesn’t love Oreo cookies? Whether you eat them whole or split them in half and go for the cream first, it doesn’t matter. This special Oreo treat features a delicious filling made from Oreo cookies and cream, shaped like an egg, then covered in delicious milk chocolate. Individually wrapped and perfect for trick-or-treat.
Zombie Skittles
While your trick-or-treaters may expect to “taste the rainbow” when they open up this snack size pack of Skittles, a secret surprise awaits! Inside is a “Zombie” Skittle that tastes like… well… a rotten zombie. Will they love it or hate it?
We know there’s no substitute for PEEPS, and we’re definitely disappointed they won’t be available for Halloween. Unfortunately, they won’t be available for Christmas either due to COVID-19. However, the candy makers at Just Born are hard at work to make sure that Easter PEEPS will be available starting in early 2021.
