Where are you located?

Blair Candy is located in Altoona, PA., less than 100 miles from Pittsburgh. We get our name from the county in which we were founded, Blair County, and has been our home for over 80 years. Our one and only location serves as our main distribution center for our wholesale, retail and online customers. We also operate an outlet store where local customers can shop for candy and paper goods.

Do you have a retail/outlet store that I can visit and what are the hours?

We do! And it’s stocked with candy, snacks, and sweets that would make Willy Wonka proud! All the items you see on our website, in addition to paper goods and party supplies, are available in our outlet store. If you’re in the Altoona, PA area, or just passing through, we’d love for you to stop in for a visit.

Do I have to pay sales tax on my order?

We are required by law to collect sales tax on retail orders being shipped to a Pennsylvania address.  If your order is being shipped outside of Pennsylvania, there is no sales tax.  If you are a wholesale customer, we are required to have your sales tax license number on file.  If we don’t you will be charged any and all sales tax on your order.  

Do I get to speak to a real person if I call to place an order or have a question about a product?

Absolutely!  As a company that’s been around for over 80 years, we still like to do business the old fashioned way - and that means we believe in personal service.  We do use some modern telephone technology to help us route your calls to the right person, but rest assured everyone that you talk to at Blair Candy is one of our own team members, working at our facility in Altoona, PA.  In other words, we don’t outsource our customer service!  Feel free to contact us at 1-800-698-3536 Monday through Friday from 8am - 4pm ET.  Please note that during the holidays, our phones are always ringing, so bear with us.

Our team of candy experts at Blair Candy are available to take your order, answer any questions you may have, or assist with any questions about your order Monday through Friday from 8am - 4pm ET.  You can call us toll-free at 1-800-698-3536.
Our Altoona, PA retail store is open Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm and Saturdays from 8am - 2pm.

How is my order packaged?

With care of course! Most orders are shipped in plain brown packaging, unless you ordered a full case of product that can be shipped in its original carton. Orders that contain multiple items are packed carefully using packing materials.

Keep in mind that hot weather and sweet chocolate do not go together. During periods of warm weather, we recommend not ordering candy that can melt. Shipping companies do not air condition their trucks, so that delicious candy bar you’ve been looking forward to snacking on won’t be so good when it arrives on your doorstep melted. We are unable to refund any orders damaged due to warm temperatures, so please consider wisely when ordering.

Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses?

We love our armed services and they love our candy, so the answer is yes! All orders going to APO/FPO addresses are shipped via the United States Postal Service. Choose the appropriate military shipping option at the checkout and we’ll take care of the rest. By the way, thank you for your service to our great country!

What shipping options are available?

We try to offer our customers the most efficient and affordable shipping options to get your favorite candy delivered to your door.  The following shipping options are available for you at the checkout:

  • Ground - delivery within 2 to 5 business days.
  • 3-Day Air - delivery within 3 business days.
  • 2nd Day Air - delivery within 2 business days.
  • Next Day Air - delivery within 1 business day.
  • APO/FPO - United States Postal Service delivery for our military customers.
  • Canada - delivery to Canada only.  Customer is responsible for duties and taxes upon delivery.

Business days are defined as Monday - Friday.  We do not ship orders on weekends.  While we strive to have all orders shipped within 48 hours (excluding orders placed on weekends), during peak holiday times such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, additional handling time may be required.  Wholesale orders may require additional processing time due to size.

For certain wholesale orders, we may use a LTL freight carrier due to order size.

Do you offer free shipping?

Remember the old saying, “there’s no such thing as a free lunch?” Well, there’s no such thing as free shipping either. While other websites may offer free shipping, it’s not really free. It’s built into the cost of the product, and to be honest that’s not fair.

At Blair Candy, we pride ourselves on having the lowest prices on all your favorite candy and we charge exactly what the shipping carrier charges us to ship that order directly to you, and never tack on surcharges or handling fees. We don’t inflate our item cost just to say we offer free shipping - it’s what sets us apart from our competitors and allows us to be transparent with our customers on what the real cost of shipping is.

So go ahead, compare our prices with those “free shipping” offers from our competitors… we’ll welcome your order!

What methods of payment do you accept?

All online orders must be paid at the time they are placed.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.  We NEVER charge you a fee to use a credit card.

Sorry, but we do not accept checks or money orders for online orders.

What do I do if my order arrived damaged or something is missing?

First thing, don’t fret!  Second, let us know right away.  In the unfortunate event your order arrives damaged give us a call at 1-800-698-3536.  One of our customer service representatives will take some information that is necessary for us to file a damage claim, in addition to asking you to take photos of the package and the damaged items.  We will then file a damage claim with the shipping carrier.  You will be notified, after the claim was processed, as to whether we will issue a refund or reship your order.  

Please note: all damage claims must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery.

All claims of order shortage must be reported within 48 hours of package being delivered. You must contact us within that timeframe so we can review the pulling and packing videos and report our findings. Any shortage claim not made within 48 hours is a void claim. 

Where's my order, it hasn't arrived yet?

Oh no!  First thing, check your email for the confirmation you received once your order shipped.  You will find it contains a tracking number that you can use to track your package.    You’ll be able to track the progress of your order from the time it left our warehouse until it’s out for delivery by your friendly delivery person.

If your tracking number shows your package was delivered, but you didn’t receive it, check with your neighbors, or if you live in an apartment, check your building office.  If you still can’t find your package, please call us at 1-800-698-3536 so we can have a trace put on your package.

If you did not receive an email from us with a tracking number, check your spam folder or contact us at 1-800-698-3536 and we’ll be glad to help.

Can I cancel my order?

Wait, who wants to cancel an order for candy?  Ok, we know there may be times when you want to do just that.  If this is one of them, we just ask that cancellations be done no later than 12 hours after the order was placed.  Yes, we work quick around here so most orders go out within 24 hours.  Once an order has shipped, we are unable to cancel it and we don’t accept returns.  Please see our return policy for more information.

What is your return policy?

For your health and safety, we are unable to accept any returns on food items - this includes candy, snacks, or anything we sell that is edible.  The only exception for this is if the item arrived damaged.  

If you refuse delivery of an order, or you return an order without contacting us, we reserve the right to refuse to issue a refund or credit.

If your order was returned to us by the shipping company, we will investigate why and make a determination as to whether or not a refund or credit will  be issued.  If we deem a refund or credit is due, we reserve the right to charge a 10% restocking fee.  Shipping costs are never refundable for any reason.  

During warmer months, we recommend you do not purchase candy that is subject to melting.  We make this clear on our website and also offer the option to purchase ice packs to help keep candy cool.  We will not refund or exchange any candy that arrives melted during these warm months.   We also can’t refund or credit any candy you ordered that you didn’t like. 


Should I order candy in the warm summer months?

Simply put… no!  Chocolate and warm temperatures just don’t go well together and to be honest with you, we don’t want you to order meltable candy during these months.  

Any candy you order is subject to melting, and even more so in the summer.  While our huge candy warehouse is climate controlled, delivery trucks are not.  Neither is the porch the delivery driver is going to leave your order on a hot July afternoon.

We do offer ice packs that can help keep your order cool, but these are still subject to heat and are not guaranteed to keep your candy from melting.
If you think it’s hot enough that your candy will arrive melted, chances are it will!  We do not offer refunds or credit for any candy that arrives melted.  So order wisely.

Do you have a print catalog?

We like to keep our prices low and save trees at the same time, so we do not offer a print catalog.  Our award-winning, fun to browse, even funner to order from website contains every sweet item we sell and is usually updated DAILY with new items (once we’ve sampled them).  

I’m a wholesale customer, can I get a list of UPC numbers or inventory sheets?

Once you’re an established wholesale customer of ours who meets certain volume criteria, these options may be available to you.  Please contact your Blair Candy wholesale account representative for more information.

Do you have a coupon code I can use for a discount?

Of course we do, but these top secret, money saving, mouth watering offers are only available to those who sign up for our sweet email newsletter.  We typically send out between 2 - 5 emails per month with special offers just for you.  This is the ONLY way to receive coupon codes.  If you find Blair Candy coupon codes on websites, blogs, forums, etc., they’re not real and we will not honor them.

By the way, when you sign up for our email newsletter, we’ll never sell your information to any 3rd party.  We hate spam as much as you do, and we respect your privacy.

Are you a “real” candy company?

Yes!  In fact, we’ve been in business for over 80 years and are one of the very first companies to sell products, yet alone candy, online.  We’re a distributor of candy, snacks, and paper products and we are currently run by the 4th generation of our family with the 5th chomping on a chocolate bar just waiting to take over.
