Celebrate the Return of Some Nostalgic Candy Favorites
Feb 15th 2021
Nostalgic candy lovers, we’ve got some news for you! Some candy you may recall as a youngster is back much to our delight. Let's take a step back in time and up to the present as we reacquaint you with some classics that are back and better than ever.
Teaberry Gum
Who can forget Clark’s Teaberry Gum? We certainly can’t! This nostalgic minty-tasting gum has been around for over 100 years but was wildly popular in the 1960’s. You may recall the television commercial featuring Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass introducing the world to the “Teaberry Shuffle.”
While Clark’s is long gone, Teaberry gum is back being made by a new manufacturer following the original recipe. Due to its popularity, we may be temporarily out of stock, but don’t worry - be sure to sign up to be notified when it’s back.
NECCO Chocolate Wafers
While the New England Confectionary Company went out of business several years ago, the candy they’re famous for lives on. Spangler Candy Company bought the recipe for a few NECCO favorites including the original candy wafer that was first introduced in 1847. We saw the return of this classic candy about a year ago, and now another flavor of NECCO wafers is about to reemerge - chocolate!
Yes, the chocolate NECCO wafer is back and there’s no better time than now to celebrate its return by ordering a box along with a box of the original. Now that both flavors are back, they’re attracting a whole new generation of fans and selling out quickly. If you see either flavor temporarily out of stock, simply sign up to be notified when they’re back.
Satellite Wafers
Now here’s one classic candy we’re sure you’ll remember. Satellite Wafers have been around since the early 1900’s and get their name from the round, flying saucer shape these light and delicious treats take. Inside the wafer are delicious candy “beads” that give the candy a burst of flavor.
When it comes to candy, we’re the experts! After all, we’ve been in the candy business for over 80 years. We’re always on the lookout for classic candy that has been brought back so we can make room for it in our huge candy warehouse, so fans all over the country can experience it again or for the first time.
