Aug 21st 2016

Candy buffets are a fun and easy party trend, and the finished product is both beautiful and delicious! However, there's a lot to learn before diving in - what candy to choose, how much candy you'll need, what containers or jars are best, etc. Keep reading for some handy tips on how to create a successful candy buffet for any occasion!
  • Decide on a theme/colors The colors you select will likely depend on the event. Having a baby shower? Pink or blue are the obvious go-tos. Will you be having a superbowl party this February? Feature your team's colors!
  • Choose your candy Bulk/loose candy is best. You can also offer individually-wrapped candy, as long as the candy wrapper is in the appropriate color(s).
  • Plan your tablepace "Map out" your candy buffet on the table with the jars you'll be using before purchasing any candy  - this will help determine just how much you'll need. Remember, choose clear containers so all the candy and colors show through. If you offer bulk loose candy, be sure that you use containers with a large enough opening for a scoop to fit in - but short enough that guests can actually reach to the bottom. Its a good idea to elevate the jars towards the back of the table with an object that won't disrupt your color scheme - a plain white photo box will do.
  • Order your candy We suggest ordering 8 ounces of candy buffet candy per guest. For individually wrapped candy, 1 per guest should do.
  • Decorate your table Complete your candy buffet with a coordinating backdrop, tablecloth or centerpiece!
