Our 5 Favorite Halloween Candy Bar Makeovers for 2026
Share
Halloween candy is great. But you know what makes it even better? When one of your favorite candy bars puts on a costume of its own.
Every Halloween, some of the biggest candy brands take the treats we know and love all year long and give them a spooky seasonal makeover. Sometimes that means a creepy new color, sometimes it means turning a familiar candy bar into a pumpkin or ghost, and sometimes they change things up enough that you can only get that particular flavor once a year.
And that's exactly why we look forward to seeing these treats show up every Halloween.
For 2026, we've picked five of our favorite Halloween candy bar makeovers, including a couple of brand-new arrivals we're especially excited about.
1. Twix Ghoulish Green Cookie Bars - NEW for 2026
Twix has always had one of the best candy bar combinations around: crunchy cookie, caramel, and milk chocolate. So we really don't need anyone messing with that.
Thankfully, they didn't.
Instead, Twix Ghoulish Green Cookie Bars take the classic Twix you already know and give the cookie hiding inside a bright green Halloween makeover. You still get the caramel, milk chocolate, and familiar Twix crunch, but bite into one and you're greeted by an eerie green cookie center.
It's simple, it's spooky, and most importantly, it's new for Halloween 2026.
We have a feeling plenty of people are going to be breaking these open just to see the green cookie inside.
2. Kit Kat Witch's Brew
Speaking of green candy...
Kit Kat Witch's Brew has been one of our Halloween favorites for a while, and it's easy to see why.
Instead of the traditional chocolate coating you'd find on a regular Kit Kat, those familiar crispy wafers are covered in a bright green marshmallow-flavored crème.
This is one of those Halloween makeovers that actually gives you something you can't just grab from the candy aisle in February. The green color looks perfect in a Halloween candy bowl, and the marshmallow flavor makes it different enough from an everyday Kit Kat to make us wish it stuck around a little longer.
But then again, maybe the fact that it disappears after Halloween is part of the fun.
3. Reese's White Peanut Butter Ghosts
Halloween wouldn't be Halloween without Reese's.
And before you say it, no, we're not picking the Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins.
Don't get us wrong. We love them. But they're basically the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup we already know and love dressed up in pumpkin form.
Our pick is the Reese's White Peanut Butter Ghost.
Why?
Because Halloween is one of the few times of the year you can get that classic Reese's peanut butter center covered in white crème instead of the usual milk chocolate, and that makes these ghosts something we actually look forward to coming back.
Plus, they're ghosts. On Halloween.
It's hard to argue with that.
4. Snickers Pumpkins
Sometimes you don't need to reinvent a candy bar. You just need to squish everything you love about it into a pumpkin.
That's pretty much what happened with Snickers Pumpkins, and we're completely fine with it.
Inside, you've still got the familiar Snickers combination of milk chocolate, caramel, peanuts, and nougat, but instead of the traditional rectangular bar, everything comes together in a pumpkin-shaped Halloween treat.
They're individually wrapped, they're Halloween-ready, and they're basically proof that candy tastes at least 12% better when it's shaped like something seasonal.
We haven't actually conducted a scientific study on that last part, but we're standing by it.

5. OREO Dark Chocolate Cookies & Creme Ghosts - NEW for 2026
And finally, another ghost has entered the chat.
This one is brand-new for Halloween 2026, and OREO fans are definitely going to want to summon a bag.
OREO Dark Chocolate Cookies & Creme Ghosts aren't just OREO cookies in a Halloween wrapper. These are ghost-shaped dark chocolaty treats filled with a cookies-and-creme center made with pieces of real OREO cookies and crème filling.
So you've got chocolate, OREO cookie pieces, crème filling, and a ghost shape all working together.
That's a pretty strong Halloween résumé.
And because they're a seasonal release, this is another one you'll want to grab while the ghosts are still hanging around.

Get Them Before They Disappear
That's the catch with Halloween candy.
One minute the shelves are filled with green Twix bars, marshmallow Kit Kats, Reese's ghosts, Snickers pumpkins, and OREO ghosts... and the next minute it's November and everything has mysteriously vanished to make room for candy canes.
So stock up for trick-or-treaters, Halloween parties, candy bowls... or just hide a few bags somewhere nobody else will find them.
We won't tell.
