Brach's Brings the Classics  for Scrumptious Holiday Treats

It’s that time of year again: the decorations are going up, you're fighting the string of lights that just won't light up, and you're digging out your cookie sheets and hitting "preheat" on the oven.  Yes, it's time to start whipping up all those delicious holiday desserts and treats we wait all year for.  And guess what? Some of our favorite old-school treats from Brach’s are back in the rotation for the 2025 season.

Brach’s Cinnamon Imperials

Remember the little bright-red fire-balls of cinnamon heat? They’re back and ready to add a zing to more than just your candy dish. According to Brach’s, the Cinnamon Imperials are “great for baking or being snacked on by the handful.”

  • Stir a handful of them into cookie dough (chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, you name it) before baking for a hidden cinnamon burst when you bite in.
  • Roll them lightly in a rolling pin (or toss in a zip bag and crush) and sprinkle over hot buttered croissants or even apple-turnovers for an unexpected twist.
  • Use them as decoration: top cupcakes, sugar cookies, or even white-chocolate bark with a couple of Imperials for color and spice.

Brach’s Peppermint Nougats

These chewy, individually wrapped peppermint nougats brings retro charm and some baking potential!

  • Roughly chop a handful of the nougats and fold into brownie batter or blondie batter just before baking.
  • Press a few pieces onto the top of frosted sugar cookies..
  • Melt them lightly and swirl into fudge or cream cheese-based bars for a minty/cinnamony chew.

Brach’s Holiday Spicettes

These sugared red and green gumdrops with flavors of deep cinnamon and cool wintergreen are festive on their own, and they shine in sweets.

  • Use them as topping décor: dot them on gingerbread house roofs, sugar-cookie hats, or holiday cupcakes.
  • Chop half the bag and incorporate into fudge.
  • Toss a few into dough for cookies so you get pops of color and chewiness.

Brach’s Crushed Candy Canes

Crushed candy canes are back in the mix—and they’re not just for hot cocoa anymore. Crushed canes are perfect for cookies, brownies, even in your hot chocolate!

  • After baking sugar cookies, top with a sprinkle of crushed canes for that signature peppermint crunch.
  • Stir a quarter-cup into brownie batter (or into white-chocolate bark) so you get streaks of mint and candy crunch.
  • Use them in drinks too: dip the rim of hot chocolate mugs (or even a holiday cocktail) into melted white chocolate then into crushed canes—instant candy-cane rim.

So there you have it—this holiday season your baking can pop with color, crunch and a dash of nostalgia, thanks to this year's lineup of Brach’s goodies. Load up your cupboards, get out your spices and mixers, and gather the family around for some holiday baking.
