Fill Up Your Easter Basket with these Delicious Treats
Feb 19th 2021
Both kids and adults love to receive an Easter basket. These gifts have been a tradition that dates back to medieval Europe and giving and receiving a fanciful basket on Easter Sunday remains as popular as ever.
Crafting an Easter basket is pretty simple. Just find a suitable size basket, with or without a handle, line it with either decorative cloth or Easter grass, then fill it with gifts, candy, and trinkets then finish it off with a colorful ribbon and bow.
Some like to hide the basket at the completion of an Easter egg hunt to make it the grand prize for all the hard work that went into finding all those colorful, treat-filled eggs. Others place it out first thing in the morning for little ones to discover when they wake up.
Today we’re going to share some of our favorites that no Easter basket should be without:
Jelly Beans
Not only are jelly beans perfect for hiding in plastic eggs, but they’re also great for placing inside Easter baskets. Whether you’re looking for single-serve, packaged jelly beans, or beans in bulk, we have them available in traditional flavors right down to unique flavors such as Krispy Kreme Donuts and even Swedish Fish! Don’t worry, we have sugar-free varieties as well.
Chocolate Rabbits
No Easter basket would be complete without a chocolate rabbit or two! Available in milk, dark, and white chocolate as well as more unique flavors such as Fruity Pebbles and even a delicious REESE’s peanut butter-filled chocolate bunny.
Religious Chocolate
With Easter being a religious holiday, many opt to include a spiritual reference in their Easter baskets such as a chocolate cross or a simple set of chocolate praying hands.
Marshmallow PEEPS
You can’t put together an Easter basket without including PEEPS! This year, there are so many different varieties of Easter PEEPS you’ll have a hard time choosing which ones to get. But don’t worry, they’re all delicious! Choose from the traditional bunny and chick PEEPS or go for some of the more unique flavors, like fruit punch and sour watermelon, and new shapes such as Easter eggs and giant bunnies.
Chocolate Eggs
Why not include some of the most delicious and decadent Easter treats in your Easter basket. Yes, we’re talking about chocolate eggs. From the delicious and familiar such as REESE’s Peanut Butter Eggs and hand-made Gardner’s Peanut Butter Meltaway Eggs to the almost too beautiful to eat Lerro filled chocolate eggs, you can’t go wrong by including some of these.
